Revolution: Ranting and Raving

I've become very pessimistic about our nation's future over the course of the last week. There is no accountability in Washington: the media is a cheerleader for the Democratic party, tax cheats are being rewarded with government appointments, and the so called "stimulus bill" is nothing but pork and a prescription for all-out socialism. And on top of that, some in Congress want to put limits on free speech by re-enacting the Fairness Doctrine.

All they want is "some balance on the airwaves." Naturally they must use legislation to ensure radio stations are "accountable." The free market is not operating correctly for these fascists--so they are going to use political force to push their own agenda forward.

Folks, we're screwed. I mean we're really screwed. The Democrats have been lustily waiting to regain the White House and work without any Congressional restraints. As Rush said today, every day is like Christmas for them. These people wake up each day knowing they can run roughshod over us all.

Obama is intimidating us all with the prospect of a never ending recession if we don't pass the stimulus bill--a never ending recession that his party is responsible for creating in the first place and now about to lengthen.

We're going to see double-digit employment and near double-digit inflation by the time the Obama administration is over. Our nation will be saddled with debt that it will take generations to pay off. Social Security may be permanently bankrupt and un-fixable. More industries will become nationalized. Oh yeah, we're screwed all right and I haven't even addressed social issues.

Obama will see to it that there will be more abortions performed in America and all around the world. Extremist leftist judges will be put into lifetime appointments destroying the American judicial system for years after Obama is out of office. Christians will be increasingly marginalized in civic affairs.

What hope is there? The only real hope is that Jesus is Lord and this world will pass away to a new heavens and new earth--it is already begun.

I'm totally on board with Rush's idea to use the political power to wage ideological war on the leftists in this country. We need to use the power of the government to undermine their efforts to destroy the fabric of our nation. We need to turn the tables on them--fund our political action committes and de-fund theirs, undermine labor unions, undermine the NEA, undermine the leftist agenda in our public universities, and purge socialism from within our borders. We can no longer fight a "fair fight." The Democrats have been playing dirty for far too long while we've been trying to fight like gentlemen. That time is over.

Who's with me?

I am.

Though our efforts will fail if we stop at only defeat of the Democratic Party. I'm afraid the Republican Party has to fall, too. From its founding its leaders have wielded unconstitutional coercive Federal power as the means to their ends, an assumption which guarantees they will become as tyrannical as the socialists in the DNC. How can there be redemption for such a double-minded man?

At a DGM conference, what's-his-name from New York quoted Martin Lloyd-Jones:

"The demon is in too deep."

You're right about the Republicans--they've been part of the problem for at least six years.

As Rush said today--we're going to be so mad by 2010 or 2012 that only the true-blue conservatives will have any chance of getting elected.

We're screwed and we've just gotta squeal like pigs and take it. We'll get our chance to right this thing, but it's gonna take two years at a minimum.

I came across some text of what Limbaugh said, and I guess I spoke in haste. If he means the following, then I am not on board:

"...[W]e are going to turn the power of government against the left. We are going to investigate them. We are going to hold public hearings. We are going to humiliate them. We're going to nationalize their unions. We're going to fund our groups for a change. If they can give ACORN $4.1 billion then we can start paying our groups with federal money. We're going to do exactly to them what they have done to us. We're going to build and use the big government that they have built and turn it right against them."

Real conservatives believe "the power of government" ought not to be used to fund "groups" or retaliate against political opponents. Real conservatives are against redistributing the citizens' money to people, organizations, and causes friendly to themselves.

"We are going to use the power that left is centralizing in the federal government to punish them, to break 'em up, and to make them pay for this."

"We will use the power of government and legal system to promote our movement and our agenda, just as they are. This is a bizarre and troubling thing to say."

Real conservatives do not build and wield the power and size of the Federal government. Conservatives dismantle big government. Republicans envision a stronger central government, conservatives do not. Lincoln grew the power and size of the Federal government. Reagan grew the power and size of the Federal gov't. Bush I, Bush II, Nixon, Ike, Hoover -- they all grew the power and size of the state.

If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you've been getting.

The Republican party is just as responsible for the centralization of power as the Democrat. I mean that. Just as. No less culpable. Limbaugh's stated desires and feelings demonstrate it.

If you want freedom, Limbaugh's revolution won't bring it.
