Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment - John 7:24
I consume organic food for a variety of reasons, none of which were due to the presumption that the nutritional value was higher. It is driven by the ill effects of monoculture, the resultant use of pesticides/herbicides (not really necessary in smaller cropped areas), and on the basis of food miles. Not only do I try to eat organic when possible and reasonable dollar wise, I try to eat local. Something is wrong when apples, berries, tomatoes and carrots are originating from California, and the midwest cropland is fueling obesity with corn syrup crops. There are reason to eat organic and local, but nutritional value shouldn't be a deciding item, nor is it relavent to many of the people that I know that choose organic.
Yeah, I think orgo food tastes better too. I still remember my first organic Braeburn, purchased at the St. Peter food co-op. The gal who took my money may have had hairy pits, but MAN that was a good apple.
